I had the incredible opportunity to work as a photographer for Nostrum High Performance, capturing the thrilling action at Summit Motorsports Park. Formerly known as Norwalk Raceway Park and Norwalk Dragway, this drag racing facility located near Norwalk, Ohio, has been a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) sanctioned venue since 2007. Every year, it plays host to the highly anticipated Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, a major event in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. Additionally, the park showcases the Cavalcade of Stars, an NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Regional Event. Being on the grounds of Summit Motorsports Park was electrifying as the engines roared and the cars tore down the track with incredible speed. As a photographer, I was privileged to capture the intense moments of acceleration, the adrenaline-fueled starts, and the sheer power of these high-performance vehicles. From the national events that drew in enthusiasts from across the country to the regular local competitions throughout the season, I aimed to immortalize the passion and skill of the racers as they pushed themselves and their machines to the limit. It was an exhilarating experience to be a part of the racing community at Summit Motorsports Park and to document the excitement of drag racing at its finest.
